I'm Back!
Well I finished my granddaughter's hat and she looks so cute in it. I just need to put some flowers on it. I'm not too good at crocheting, so I have to practice, practice to get them just right. I will post the completed pic when it's done. I'm also working on Brianna's hat and I counted the cast on stitches and I have 3 more than I really need. I can't believe it. I may just rip it out and start all over again. Never knit when you have the flu.

What a Busy Week!
Well I have been so busy that I havent got much knitting done. My granddaughters got baptized on Saturday. I wish I could of had my youngest grandson baptized too. But his Mom and Dad dont attend our church. We plan on being godparents to him as well when the his time comes. Heres a few pics of the baptism.
Here is a picture of my girls Mommy and her fiance. The little guy is My grandson Lucas. He is so cute. I was so glad they could be there on the girls special day.
Then on Sunday, we were off to a funeral for my grandmother. This was my granddaughters first funeral to go to and they were very good about it. I didnt take many pictures there, since everyone was so unhappy. But I got to visit with alot of uncles, aunts and cousins that I havent seen for over 15 years. Everyone looks old. I guess I do too. I couldn't recognize half of my relatives. But I was very happy to see them all again, but wish it could have been at a better event. Here they are enjoying lunch after the funeral.

Grams Girls are learning to knit...yay!
I finally finished my Olympic Scarf. I am sending it off along with the other one I knitted earlier. My girls are learning to knit too. They love learning new things and I am so proud of them while I watch them do what I love to do. I guess I have to tackle my socks again. Plus I have numerous items to finish off.

My Next Projects
I had to put my knitting aside for a few days. I have chronic pain due to an accident in 1992. I just had a regular scheduled cervical epidural. I just had a MRI because of increased pain in my neck. I only have had 4 previous neck surgeries. And now I find out that I have another disc that is bulging and narrowing. My Pain Dr. says I have disc disease and I have to see the surgeon again. I am seriously thinking of checking out a procedure called Artificial Disc Replacement done at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles California. If you are interested here is the link: http://www.csmc.edu/533.html
Well I finished the heel and casted on for the gussets and when I finished I had a hole. Oooh, I hate that when it happens. I have knitted a couple of trial socks and no holes in the gussets. Well I ripped it back and now I am starting all over again with the heel. I love the Berocco Comfort Sock yarn, it is so soft that it feels like it is so slippery through my fingers.
Oh well I decided to cast on my second Olympic Scarf sponsored by Coats and Clark. I need to get these sent in. Here is the link to the site. http://www.coatsandclark.com/Crafts/Crochet/Features/Special+Olympics.htm
I also casted on for my dishcloth. They go so fast and this one is from Kris Knits. Here is the link. http://krisknits.blogspot.com/2008/01/valentine-surprise.html
Well I have to get back to knitting for Carefree Holiday or not KAL. I love this KAL, it is getting me going on finishing some items for Christmas.

Im new at Blogging
This is my very first blog. I set this up for the Carefree KAL Blog. I am excited to be involved in this endeavor. I just posted my first picture of my projects. I am starting out with knitting socks. I am using Comfort Sock yarn by Berocco. It is so soft that I feel like the yarn is sliding off my fingers. My oldest granddaughter has a sensitivity problem with fabric and I know she will love the feel of these socks.
Now my youngest grandchild, she picked LionBrand Magic Stripes yarn and it is very coarse and I dont know if she is going to like the outcome. I will knit the socks and if she doesnt like them. Then I will frog them and use the yarn for doll clothes or blankets.
